About MeMy name is Kamoria Morgan and I am currently a junior at UNCW pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Special Education (AC.) I love every part of being a teacher, and can not wait to officially begin my teaching career in about a year. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and continues to challenge and evolve me as a person on a daily basis. In addition to taking classes at UNCW, I am also a member of the Link Leadership Council and a student worker within the Office of Admissions. I absolutely love working with fellow college students as both an LLC member and a Seahawk Link because of the incredible bonds that are formed. I am a big believer in chasing after your dreams, even when they seem impossible. With a lot of hard work, passion, and determination, you can achieve anything. As corny as that sounds, that thought process is exactly what got me to UNCW three years ago! :) I am also a very open-minded individual, and I believe in nurturing people's differences and building them up for who they are. I've learned to be unapologetically myself over the past few years, and I hope to create this level of comfort in others as well. Finally, I absolutely adore my friends and family. Life just wouldn't be the same without them! Over the next few years, I hope to finish my Bachelor's Degree in Special Education (AC) and move on to earn my Master's Degree, perhaps at UNC Charlotte. Favorite Quote: My favorite quote is "All you need is love," by the Beatles. I love this quote because it constantly reminds me that no matter what might be going wrong in my life, love is all that really matters. Piece of advice to incoming freshman: Ask for help. Do not be afraid to stop someone on the sidewalk or Chancellor's and ask them where to go or how to get something done. Use your resources, because everyone on this campus has been in your shoes. Favorite tradition at UNCW: My favorite tradition at UNCW has to be Welcome Week. The spirit of the entire campus during this time is exciting and incredibly uplifting, so it gets you motivated to start the semester off right. Favorite place to study on campus: I work best when I study in my apartment on campus and I can sit by the open window during springtime. Goal I would like to achieve before graduation: Before graduation, I would like to make a good and lasting impact on someone's life. If I meet one person on this campus and help them to achieve their goals or believe in themselves a little more, then I have truly made an impact. |
